Well what do they expect?

I’m not really in the habit of blogging on the financial scene, or the global economy, or indeed capitalism in general. In fact offhand I can’t think of a single occasion when I’ve ever done so.

Those who know me well are probably already well aware of my views on such matters. And those who don’t… well, you’ll just have to keep on guessing for the mo’!

But there’s one aspect of the current financial crisis that’s simply too irresistable… the current U.S. government’s bail-out of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac financial institutions. That these two bodies are now in serious shit is apparently causing some considerable concern. But I ask you… with names like that what the hell did they expect?
