The Captain Safety Road Show
Bedford’s Civic Theatre on Horne Lane has this week been hosting a show organised (I believe) by the Road Risk Advisory Team of Bedford Borough Council.
The Captain Safety Road Show!
A 40-minute show running twice a day (11.00am and 01.00pm) with Captain Safety (Dave Allen) providing superb kids’ entertainment (even had the adults laughing periodically!) focussed on educating them about basic road safety.
With the able assistance of Jimmy White Board, Jemma the Ostrich and Silly Billy Captain Safety kept the kids (ferried in by tranport laid on by the Borough Council) laughing and clapping for the entire show.
The show I attended on Wednesday afternoon for pic-taking purposes was honoured with the presence of the town’s Mayor, Dave Hodgson, who seemed to enjoy it just as much as the kids and later chatted with Captain Safety backstage.
